Choosing a hospital for diagnostics & lab work

For imaging and lab tests, accuracy and turnaround time usually matter more than the hospital's general reputation.

Questions worth asking directly

Is the specific test or scan you need done on-site, or sent out to a partner lab?
What's the realistic turnaround time for results, not just the best-case estimate?
Who explains the results to you, a radiologist or specialist, or just a printed report?
Does the hospital accept results and scans from other facilities if you already have them, to avoid repeating a test?

A practical way to decide

For anything urgent, ask directly about same-day turnaround before booking. Many hospitals can do routine bloodwork quickly, but imaging or specialist tests may take longer than expected.

Keep your own copies. Ask for digital or printed copies of every result and scan, it saves you repeating tests if you see a different doctor or hospital later.
